Prior to priming durable and elastic sizing is applied to canvases in order to prevent paint from penetrating. After sizing is applied, they are primed with a modern acrylic primer, which forms a durable and elastic white film once dry. We use a traditional white primer as well as priming in other colours for those who admire tinted ground.
