ROSA Studio Hand Primed Cotton Canvas Rolls are a modern alternative to traditional linen canvases. ROSA Studio canvases are of pure cotton, which makes them softer, more elastic and uniform compared to linen canvases. They are a little bit thinner than ROSA Gallery Cotton Canvases. The softness and elasticity of the cotton canvas facilitate it’s stretching on a stretcher. Being smooth, it is also an ideal surface for fine art portrait and still-live painting. ROSA Studio cotton canvases are available in extra fine 2 grain texture with the finished weight 310 g/m .
Prior to priming, durable and elastic sizing is applied to canvases in order to prevent paint from penetrating to the backside.
ROSA Studio Cotton Canvas Rolls are primed with modern acrylic primer, which forms white durable and flexible film after drying. Acrylicprimed canvases are perfect foruse with oilpaints or acrylics. We apply sizing and prime the canvas in several layers by hand using special brushes and rollers. Hand priming allows us to controlthe quality of canvases at each production stage and preserve the structure ofthe weave.
ROSA Studio Hand Primed Cotton Canvas Rolls are available in two lengths: 3.0m, 10.0m; and width 2.20 m.
ROSA Studio canvases must be stretched with a drymethod ofstretching only.
