CATALOG OF ROSA AUXILIARY MATERIALS
The rich black colour of the gesso will save time and immediately create a background for future painting.
Due to its high adhesion, acrylic gesso has good adhesion to the ROSA Studio synthetic sizing, since the primer and sizing consist of materials of the same chemical group.
Thanks to the high elasticity of the gesso there are no cracks (as long as there is proper gluing and tension), and the uniform consistency and durable film ensure that the paint does not seep through the canvas.
Choose the size of primer according to your needs:
280 ml
500 ml
1000 ml
The approximate consumption of the gesso is indicated on the label so that the artist can estimate what size he needs.

It is possible to use different applying techniques depending on the result expected. Applied in thin layers, ROSA Studio Acrylic Gesso preserves the canvas texture, while tough layers provide smooth and uniform surface. Use water dissolvent for different consistency levels. Instruments are easily waterwashed just after using.
Howto use:
- Clean the surface from dust, grease and dirt.
- Before priming the canvas use gelatine or synthetic gluing.
- Stirt horoughly before use.
- Apply primer evenly. Apply the second and next primer layers once the previous is completely dry, ifnecessary.
- Use at +5°С.
- Transport at -18°С. The primer preserves its characteristics afterdefrosting.
Rosa Acrylic Gesso has been tested over the time. It has been used formanufacturing the ROSA hand-primed canvases for many years. Basing on our experience, we recommend it to those keen on creating grounds for painting them selves.
