We introduce 2 types of Unico Italian Primed Canvases:
• Natural cotton fine grain with a weight of 326 g / m²
• Jute large grain with a weight of 584 g / m²
Each of the types of Unico Italian Primed Canvas is available to order in the range:
• Rolls sizes: 2×3 m, 2×5 m, 2x10m, 2x25m
• Stretched Canvas sizes from 18x18cm to 200x300cm with an interval of 5 cm
Unico primed stretched canvases made of Italian cotton is distinguished by a smooth surface and peculiarly white ground color. Unico Italian fine-grained cotton Primed Canvas is ideal for glazing and detailed painting, thanks to even weaving. Acrylic primer allows you to choose any type of paint. Soft and elastic cotton is much easier to stretch on a stretcher, in comparison with linen. The tinted back gives the canvas a sophisticated look. With cotton modular stretched canvas, if necessary, you can easily wedge open and adjust the tension of the finished picture.

• Extra fine grain canvas (326 g/m²) is suitable for painting with a brush and palette knife
• Acrylic primer preventing penetration of paint on the reverse side of the canvas
• Tinted backside gives the canvas aesthetic sophistication and makes it look like linen
• Modular stretcher allows to increase canvas tensioning if necessary
• Gallery stretching gives the opportunity to avoid engaged frame and paint on the end face of the stretcher
Unico primed stretched canvases made of high quality Italian juta is distinguished by a large grain and smooth weaving. Gallery stretching gives the opportunity to avoid engaged frame and paint on the end face of the stretcher.The canvas has strong adhesion with the primer, due to its high hygroscopicity, which preserves the durability of colours. Strong dense canvas is perfect for work with a thick, textured painted layer. It is ideal for the painting of large-format works where large grains add layers and help holding the paint. Thanks to the high-quality acrylic primer, the paint does not go through to the backside of the canvas. The large-grained canvas is suitable for painting with a brush and palette knife.
The width of the roll 210cm allows you to make stretchers of large sizes and gives many options for cutting the canvas.

The Unico stretched canvases made of jute and cotton are hand-stretched which provide a natural brush fabric resistance while painting. Thanks to the modular stretcher it is possible to adjust the tension of the canvas, as well as to disassemble it into separate elements for the transportation and to assemble again. Gallery wrapped canvas allows you to place the picture without a frame, as there are no staple pins at the sides.
